The process of mediation is fairly new in Romania; the 192 Law of Mediation was enforced in 2006, and later modified and amended with Law 370/2009, GO 13/2010 and Law 202/2010. According to the provisions of this law, civil, commercial, family or penal disputes – with certain limitations in the latter case – can be settled appealing to a mediator, who assists the parties involved in reaching mutually beneficial solutions, in neutral, impartial and confidential circumstances.
The Christian-Radu Chereji Mediation Office was certified by the Mediation Council in 2008 and it provides mediation services, consultancy, training, and coaching to its customers.
